Where did the title, Carrying the Spark, come from?
Trustee Kathi Dickie shared from her family history that when Dene families travelled through their territory, they would carry a live coal wrapped in moss to kindle the life-giving fire at the next location.
We too are “Carrying the Spark” in our schools — nurturing the bright sparks all our students carry so they can grow, burn bright, and be passed on wherever life takes them!
